Day 1

Welcome to Kiev- the capital of Ukraine! This city is not only the capital of the country but also its cultural center, where lots of objects of UNESCO Heritage are gathered. Kiev is known as Mother of Russian cities. Once upon a time, King Oleg united the northern and southern Rus in one state and proclaimed Kiev its capital. These historical events forever impacted its history. There are many churches, monuments and other attributes which date back to IX century. So many tourists come to Kiev in order to learn more about ancient world, explore unique churches and simply enjoy the local atmosphere. This city is located in the very heart of the country and becomes more and more popular among foreigners. Once you arrive, we will pick you up at the airport and you will have one free day in order to explore Kiev, visit main places of interest, buy little souvenirs and take a stroll down the main street of the country which is called Khryshatyk. Later, in the evening, we will take you to the railway station and you will get on the train to historical city Uzhhorod.

Day 2

The second day of your trip will begin in Uzhhorod. This city, formerly known as Ungvar, is a border town which is located very close to Slovakia and Hungary. The phenomenal fact is that most of the locals speak both the Magyar and Ukrainian languages. This city really differs from the rest of the country because it was influenced by many tribes and cultures, such as Hungarians, Austrians, Polacks and others. With its large Hungarian and Romanian minorities and lots of cross-border wheeling and dealing, this is by far Ukraine’s most cosmopolitan regional capital. Its rather small size, cobbled streets, bridges, local shops with faded Hungarian signs and castles make this city a wonderful and popular destination. You will visit the ruins of Nevytskyi castle which was built in XII century and abandoned in XV century and newer rebuilt since that time. The professional tour guide will tell you a captivating story of this castle and will help you to feel the spirit of ancient times. After lunch your journey will continue in the city of Uzhhorod founded in X century which also lastly went under reconstruction
in XVII century and was untouched since that times.  For the history lovers, there are many history museums too, where you can learn even more about old times. In the evening you’ll be able to take a stroll around Uzhhorod old town, enjoy the night lights and have some delicious Hungarian or Ukrainian dinner.

Day 3

On the 3rd day of your journey you will continue to discover the most beautiful castles of Transcarpathia. Today you will visit castle that is called Palanok, founded not later than in XI century. There are only six extremely well preserved castles in Europe at present, and one of them is the “Palanok” Castle. It is located on a hill which stands at a height of 68 meters. The hill is known as the Zamkova or Castle Mount. Palanok Castle is the pride of this province. It has seen many occupants from different cultural backgrounds. Many creative legends and fascinating tales exist about this castle that can amaze anyone. After the great excursion around the castle, you will visit Chizay winery with excursion to the factory, degustation and delicious dinner (Ukrainian wine and food are just exceptional).  In the evening you’ll have the opportunity to relax in sauna or hot herbal tub at the hotel. It is just an awesome way to end up your day, isn’t it?

Day 4

The 4 th day of your adventurous tour will begin with a visit to a buffalo farm, where you’ll see how the buffalo cheese is made. Degustation of local cheese is included, of course. If the weather will be chilly, you can warm up with a mulled wine made on an open fire especially for you. In the afternoon your journey will continue to Shenborn palace with impressive story of love, betrayal and revenge. This fabulous romantic-style castle was built in French style in 1890 at the location of an old wooden hunter’s castle, in Berehvar area. The new Shernborn’s family castle is similar to quite a few other European castles by its astronomic structure. Also you should take a moment to have a look at the park, as it deserves special attention. It has been established in 1848 with a fine mixture of landscape and foliage represented by ashtrees and sakuras, pine trees and tulip trees. This is a very special corner of nature where the owners of the castle loved spending time. After the excursion, you will head to Lviv where you’ll stay at a cozy hotel in the city centre. Lviv is a beautiful Ukrainian city with magnificent architecture and cozy coffee shops which is located in the West of Ukraine near the border with Poland. It was influenced by many different cultures that left a huge footprint on its history. This city is also famous for cobbled streets, renaissance architecture, welcoming people and the spirit of old times. Lviv can cater for all tastes because it is a perfect combination of old and modern city. Everyone can find something unique and special here which may leave a strong desire to return again and again. This city is such a great way to end up your trip!
